Discover Jesin, the sustainable, versatile and nontoxic material that's transforming the world of art, DIY, design, homewares and more.

Journey with me as we launch this product in the US in 2024!!

When I first started working with JESIN, what stood out to me wasn’t just how versatile it was—it was how approachableit felt.

So many pouring and casting materials come with a steep learning curve or intimidating safety concerns. JESIN felt different from the start.

It invited experimentation without pressure, encouraged play, and made space for creativity at every skill level.

That’s why I’m genuinely excited to share that JESIN officially launched in the United States in 2024, and I’m honored to be part of bringing it to makers, artists, and DIYers here at Ellis Visual Arts LLC.

Ashley wants you to discover JESIN too!

What Is JESIN?

JESIN is a sustainable, non-toxic, and eco-conscious pouring medium designed for art, DIY, home décor, and functional objects. It offers the satisfying experience of casting and pouring—without the harsh chemicals or barriers that often keep people from trying these techniques.

Whether you’re new to pouring mediums or looking for an alternative that aligns with thoughtful making, JESIN is designed to be:

  • Easy to mix and work with

  • Adaptable for a wide range of projects

  • Forgiving as you learn

  • Suitable for creative spaces where safety and sustainability matter

Why I Love Teaching With JESIN

As an educator, I’m always paying attention to how materials behave in the hands of students.

JESIN allows people to focus on process and design, not fear of “messing it up.” It’s a medium that supports learning through exploration—one of the reasons it fits so naturally into both my workshops and studio projects.

It also bridges the gap between fine art thinking and everyday making. You can create something beautiful and functional without needing to be an expert first.

Two Simple JESIN Projects to Get You Started:

Project 1: Custom JESIN Coasters

A perfect introduction to pouring and color play.

Coasters are one of my favorite beginner projects because they’re small, manageable, and incredibly satisfying. Playing with LIQU-MENT pigments allows you to explore color mixing and movement while creating something you’ll actually use.

This project is a great reminder that small pours can still lead to big creative wins.

Materials Needed:

  • Jesin

  • Silicone molds (coaster shaped)

  • Color pigments from Jesin line called LIQU-MENTS

  • Mixing tools

  • Jesin Sealant

Step-by-Step Guide:

  • Prepare Your Jesin: Begin by mixing Jesin as per the instructions on the package. Get ready for a smooth, hassle-free experience as you prepare your base.

  • Add Colors: Unleash your inner artist by adding color pigments to Jesin. Stir gently to create mesmerizing patterns and hues.

  • Pour into Molds: Carefully pour the colored Jesin into your silicone molds. The joy of seeing your creation take shape is just beginning!

  • Let It Set: Allow your coasters to set completely. Jesin’s quick-drying nature means you won’t be waiting long.

  • Apply Sealant: Once set, apply the JESIN sealant for a smooth, waterproof finish. Your custom Jesin coasters are now ready to dazzle!

Project 2: JESIN Trinket Tray

A balance of function, form, and personal style.

Materials Needed:

  • Jesin

  • Trinket tray mold of choice

  • Color pigments from Jesin line called LIQU-MENTS

  • Decorative elements (glitters, foils, etc.)

  • Sandpaper (for smoothing edges)

  • Jesin Sealant

  • Footer pads

Step-by-Step Guide:

  • Prepare Workspace: I prefer to work on silicone mat

  • Prepare Your Jesin: Begin by mixing Jesin as per the instructions on the package. Get ready for a smooth, hassle-free experience as you prepare your base.

  • Personalize: Add decorative elements on the mold before pouring. This is where your trinket tray becomes truly yours.

  • Wait for Magic: Let the Jesin set, transforming from a liquid dream into a solid masterpiece.

  • Finishing Touches: Once set, remove the cured Jesin from mold and gently sand any rough edges for a polished look.

  • Seal your tray: Use the Jesin sealer to coat your trinket tray.

  • Add footers to your tray:

The Joy of Creating With JESIN

JESIN shines because it meets you where you are. Whether you’re crafting for the first time or refining your practice, it supports curiosity and confidence without rushing the process.

From home décor to thoughtful gifts, JESIN encourages you to explore color, texture, and form in a way that feels calm and accessible.

And yes—JESIN is now available in the U.S.
