This week in class: From Life and Found Object Sculptures

Students this week covered an exciting medium.They started work on a couple of 3D sculptures. Our art words of the week include; casting, mold, alginate and hydrocal. These words include some basics from our casting from life project as well as the materials we used to make a mold and cast from a found object. Make sure to askthem about their experience.They also are working on in their down time a hand building sculpture from a low oven fire baked clay. They are continuing daily sketching exercises in their personal sketch journals and I am thrilled by their enthusiasm.
